Tattoo Aftercare
1) Leave bandage on for about 3-4 hours. Don't remove until you are ready to wash tattoo, not even to show it off.
2) Gently wash with hot water and a mild soap 5-10 times per day for the first two weeks. Use bare hands to wash, not a rag or cloth. ALCOHOL-FREE BABY WIPES can be used in place of soap and water when on the go.
3) Gently pat dry with a clean paper towel.
4) Apply a THIN layer or A&D ointment or Aquaphor after every wash for the first week. Rub it in until it absorbs. BLOT the excess ointment off with a clean paper towel. You want the tattoo to be moisturized and flexible, but not sticky or wet.
5) After the first week, or when tattoo begins to flake and peel, switch from the ointment to a lotion. Eucerin or any fragrance-free lotion is fine. Apply lotion the same way as the ointment, being sure to blot the excess.
6) DO NOT SCRATCH OR PICK TATTOO.
